Ms. Childress stays abreast of upcoming scientific issues. A Canadian colleague owns a Drager Drug Test 5000, which tests saliva for the presence of drugs. Accordingly, Ms. Childress has received first-hand experience with this instrument.

Ms. Childress has been to Axion Labs in Chicago, Illinois, where she learned firsthand how to inject an unknown sample into a gas chromatograph, which is what lab analysts in Missouri use to test blood for the presence of drugs and alcohol.
